Just a few chapters in he mentions what he calls a Dreamline, which is a chart designed to calculate how approachable and within reach your ideal lifestyle is, in terms of finances and time. On the book’s website there were online calculators for filling out the Dreamline, but I didn’t find them to be as helpful as I’d like…so I’ve come up with my own. And I'm very familiar with sending email without checking when you're using a POP based system; that's easy. And yes, I could certainly use another client to send mail but since Outlook is my primary client that'd be a really long way to do it. My solution thusfar has just been to use a separate account I set up exclusively for sending mail (in Outlook). It's set up as if it would be checking the same mailbox I'm using for Exchange but with POP/SMTP instead of MAPI. And I set it up to only SEND mail and not receive. Then what I do is to send mail I just choose that account from the Accounts drop down and voila I can send while in Offline mode (there's another Outlook setting you need to tick to ensure you can send/receive in Offline mode, too). The other hack is that when you press Ctrl+M or click Send/Receive in Outlook, it processes your Outbox items first. As such, you can get all the messages to send before allowing yourself to check email. The problem with this is if you have a large attachment it won't send until you've already sync'd your Inbox. But anyhow, I'm glad I could help. If someone wants more details on these methods, just let me know :-) Hi Maureen,

I have my work email (exchange server) set up so I can access it via Opera's messaging client (I also have other email accounts set up there - pop/gmail). From any tab/webpage, you can to open a compose tab. Don't have to be in the mail client. http://help.opera.com/Windows/9.10/en/mail.html You've given me a great idea to try out. Thanks!
